Marble Hall Murders (2025 – In Post-Production)
Marble Hall Murders is the third and final adaptation in the bestselling Susan Ryeland series by Anthony Horowitz, following the acclaimed Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders. Adapted by the author himself, the series stars Lesley Manville as Susan Ryeland, a book editor who once again finds herself entangled in a complex literary mystery.

Jonathan Hession
In this new story, Ryeland returns to England and becomes reluctantly involved in a fresh Atticus Pünd mystery written by a young author. The fictional novel within the series ‘Pünd’s Last Case‘ is set in 1955 in an exotic villa on Corfu, bringing the island into the heart of the storyline.
Filming on Corfu took place in the square of Agios Ioannis, with scenes shot both outdoors and inside the historic Archontiko Petriti Hotel, a mansion dating from the French occupation period that was renamed “Hotel Xenia” for the production. Additional Corfu locations include Danilia Village and the seaside village of Boukari.
Corfu’s Rise as a Film Friendly Destination
In the past, Greece was often overlooked by international filmmakers due to bureaucratic hurdles, limited administrative support and a lack of competitive financial incentives. As a result, some productions that might have benefited from Greek locations were filmed elsewhere.
However, over the last decade, the Greek government has introduced significant changes to its legal and administrative framework, transforming the country into a genuinely “film-friendly” destination. Faster and more transparent application processes, along with improved production incentives, have made filming in Greece far more attractive and efficient.
As a result, Greece and scenic islands like Corfu are increasingly chosen as backdrops for international films and television series, showcasing their natural beauty and cultural heritage to global audiences. This shift has allowed many films and TV shows to be filmed in Corfu.
