A Big Move for Jet2 – And for Gatwick
Jet2’s arrival at Gatwick is no small milestone. In fact, it’s the largest new airline base at the airport this century, and the first major leisure carrier to arrive since 2020. Holidaymakers across London, Greater London and the South East have been asking for Jet2 flights for years – and from March 2026, they’ll finally get them.
The launch expands Jet2’s UK footprint to 14 airport bases, adding Gatwick to its growing list of successful operations across the country.
Six aircraft will operate from the airport, including five of the brand-new Airbus A321neo jets known for being quieter, more fuel-efficient, and producing over 20% fewer CO₂ emissions per seat. A nice bonus for anyone looking to travel a little greener.
